DELTA SIGMA PI

DUKE UNIVERSITY'S PREMIER BUSINESS FRATERNITY

Our Diversity

In Careers

Through their ambition and hardwork, our brothers excel in all aspects of business, including entrepreneurship, marketing, consulting, and investment banking. Whether you want to work in Silicon Valley or on Wall Street, Delta Sigma Pi provides the network, resources, and mentorship necessary to pursue your dream career. All you have to answer is, 'What is my dream?'

In Brotherhood

Delta Sigma Pi is a diverse brotherhood. We were the first professional business fraternity to go co-ed, admitting women in 1975. We welcome into our membership students of business who meet professional standards of admission, and our policies allow no exclusions based on race, ethnicity, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.

In Ideas

All of our brothers have a voice that is heard. By creating small committees, we ensure that our brothers activitely particiapte and contribute to advancement of DSP. Want to plan your own event? Go for it! Have a new budgeting plan? Attend our weekly Executive Board meetings! At DSP, we know that you have a vision; we just want to be a part of it.

Our Pillars

Professionalism

As a business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi is deeply committed to the professional development of its members. With distinguished alumni working across a wide range of industries, the fraternity offers members decades of unparalleled resources and experience, as well as exclusive opportunities for career advancement. Throughout the year, the Sigma Tau chapter also hosts multiple open speaker events and professional workshops for the mutual advancement of the Duke community.

Brotherhood

The Sigma Tau chapter prides itself on providing a well-rounded experience to its brothers. In addition to professional, service, and scholarship activities, the fraternity hosts numerous social events to foster camaraderie between its brothers. Every semester, the fraternity takes a retreat to explore North Carolina's beautiful wildlife and beaches. Our brothers also host house dinners to try new foods and learn about each other outside of formal settings. With tons of DSP social events, there is always something to do. Don't forget to ask us about our 'book clubs!'

Service

Delta Sigma Pi is dedicated to making a difference because business has both a unique opportunity and a compelling duty to contribute to the larger community. Frequent involvement in the community instills deep feelings of brotherhood while developing business skills. The Sigma Tau chapter works closely with the Duke Farms, Habitat for Humanity, and Ronald McDonald House to serve the Durham community. The fraternity also plan new initiatives, as proposed at our general body meetings.

Scholarship

Delta Sigma Pi funds educational programs through the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation, which provides financial assistance for scholarships, leadership development and training, and personal and professional improvement. Funded by individual and corporate contributions, the Leadership Foundation offers many levels of participation.
